Could you not do a red undercoat and then use the black crackle over the top?

The only problem with going with a crackle effect is that it'd look sh!t.

Everything else is very shiny shiny though

I think it has to go black really, I'm edging towards powder coating it.

In other news, the rear brakes were stripped down, cleaned up and refitted earlier. Really it needs new discs/pads because the discs are pretty pitted and the pads look uber cheap, but I'll replace the lot when the pads are dead.

Going to attack the front coilovers tomorrow, which will then just leave the leaking PAS pipe and axle bushes to sort

Give it the powdercoating it deserves Dom. Crackle black will just look a bit DIY, and although I think polishing will look awsome, its alot of work. (Although free if you already have the means!). May as well do your alternator casing whilst your at it too!

I painted mine with high temp paint from halfords. Done about 2 coats and turned out quite nice.

Haven't got a picture but you can get a rough idea in my sig

Would look good for time being until maybe u can get hold a powder coated one or save time to get yours done

Well I might crackle black this one and buy another to have powder coated. Best of both worlds
