Mine were touching when fitted but luckily for me it was easily spotted as the wings were off at the time.

looks good dom i had to higher my mk3 10mm to fit the 17's on with 205/40's as the outer rim on the tyre was trying to do the same on the wing  it's now perfect with a tiny rub on full lock good progress for someone who's skint

A couple of mm deep, I'm going to change the tyre I reckon....not sure I trust driving around with one of them like that

Yep, very lucky....I did about 150miles with it like that

Big thanks to Baxxy for getting some spacers to me very quickly

I stuck some 20mm hubcentrics on the rear to help the wheels fill the arches, some before & afters:
