Right, car might well be off the road for the next month or so to save some cash :undecided:

I need to check that I can cancel the insurance renewal (pretty sure there's a 2 week 'cooling off' period?)

Basically my g/f has a fiat 500 which is sitting on the drive doing nothing and she has a new job that she can walk to. I can use her car to get to/from work for a couple of months which will save me some cash in fuel and give me some time to get my insurance renewal money together and not pay for it with a credit card.

I'm still in 2 minds about it at the moment but it seems the logical thing to do at the moment :undecided:

Have they changed the law so cars off the road need to be insured yet?  Or are you going to have to SORN it or something?

That's what I'm thinking

Fiat 500...........

What Thai said, it's actually not a bad little car! I see 25-28mpg on my commute to/from work in the Mk4, in the 500 it's 40+

It's nippy enough around town which is what I'd be using it for
