Right, car might well be off the road for the next month or so to save some cash

I need to check that I can cancel the insurance renewal (pretty sure there's a 2 week 'cooling off' period?)

Basically my g/f has a fiat 500 which is sitting on the drive doing nothing and she has a new job that she can walk to. I can use her car to get to/from work for a couple of months which will save me some cash in fuel and give me some time to get my insurance renewal money together and not pay for it with a credit card.

I'm still in 2 minds about it at the moment but it seems the logical thing to do at the moment

What Thai said, it's actually not a bad little car! I see 25-28mpg on my commute to/from work in the Mk4, in the 500 it's 40+

It's nippy enough around town which is what I'd be using it for
