Cheers guys :afro:

The car was at OCD yesterday to have a driveshaft seal replaced that had been leaking, the gearbox oil was changed at the same time.

I've been trying to fix a really annoying rattling/creaking/knocking noise I've been getting from the rear. I initially started with the rear top mounts, the old ones were pretty shot:

You can see how perished the rubber was:

This cured the knocking but I was still left with a rattling, with the help of Matt @ OCD this was diagnosed as the rear seat hinges! We took the rear seat uprights off and the hinge was rusty causing a creaking noise:

We gave it a clean up and put some copper grease on and the problem was solved!

I hate rattles, I've got a week off work the week after next and I'm going to try and eliminate all of them from mine

In other news I spent £143 on tax this morning

Yeah partly right :afro:

The front knocking that I thought was drop links is actually the front top mounts which are part of the strut! Airlift are sending out a repair kit for them

The paint on the front bumper has started flaking from the Berlingo incident

I feel for the poor Berlingo for being violated by the Golf

Spent a few hours on the golf today, started by smashing the glass of a headlight and joey modding the nearside light. The sealant is currently drying over-night so I'll fit it tomorrow.

I finally got round to spraying the intercooler black:

The upper pipe was knocking on the crash bar so that was resolved.

The front struts have also been knocking, air lift sent out a repair kit so Matt @ OCD sorted that for me.

I also fitted new perspex in the boot which has been etched, as well as some LEDs to light up the compressor and tank. There is a switch which I will mount properly tomorrow:

I couldn't resist fitting the one headlight that was finished:

Finally this will be going on sometime in the next couple of weeks:

Yeah, new glass is the only option really. There's a seller on eBay, they're about £13 each
