Yup, I agree. Always had hatchbacks except for my Saab. Hated it when it was raining and your trying to reverse out of a parking space. Scene points but not worth in imo due to being so impracticle.

Well it is the same size grommet for a mk3 and my Octavia, I believe a mk4 is the same size.

If you stuck I have a few spare could always post one to you.

Not really, I drive a lot of vans with no rear windows so I guess it gets easier also the rear view on the Octavia is poor in any case.
