A google came up with this:

http://www.madmotors.co.uk/engine-tuning/powerboost-valves/vw-powerboost-valves/fse-powerboost-valve-vw-golf-mk3-1-4-1-6-2-0-8v-95-97.html

I have no idea if it really works/is worth the £115 incl. p&p

If you try it, let me know, one of mine is a 1.4 as well

Chief :)

 They're a joke. You can buy adjustable fpr for less than that. Anyway a higher fuel pressure doesn't improve performance, ess_three experimented with a 4 bar fpr in his 16v and it actually lost power on the dyno so he stuck his original 2.5 bar one in there and power was restored. Higher fuel pressure is only needed if you're running a performance fuelling system.

Not worth the bother, hassle or expense of trying to make a 1.4 go quicker.

As said previously those powerboost valves are a huge waste of time.

If you want to get away from the line more quickly then (as tweed says) don't bother trying to up the power, concentrate on getting rid of as much weight as possible from the car. That is the easiest & cheapest way of improving the power to weight ratio
