Had a CBF125 for the last year was getting about 300 miles out of a tank, cost about £13 to fill.

Replaced it with a Hornet 600  not as many miles but much more fun

Ok not on the same level, but bought a 50cc scoot as a commuter last year. Used it for the summer and was fun for a while, but soon got bored of it, and as the winter was so bad it was left to rot under a cover in the garden until last week when I sold it. May be different with a quicker bike but the rules still apply whereas you will hardly ever use it in winter anyway. Far too cold and wet, and much easier to jump in a car where you can stick the heater on and listen to Chris Moyles on the way to work, rather than spending ten minutes getting your leathers or rainproofs on and freezing your ass off! Did halve the time it took me to get to and from work though as you can just zip up the bus lanes whilst everyone else is stuck at the lights!

I got one of these bad boys, but I can't be bothered to ride it at the moment, just taking some time to chill now.

80% of your posts are total tripe, as they are mostly replies to sh1te posts created by the morons that, unfortunately this forum attracts.

i ran an rs125 for a year  a couple of years ago (when fuel was cheaper) and was spending about 20-30 quid a week plus regular maintence to stop it blowing up. great fun bikes but if you want a comuter then you have to get a four stroke, either a yzf r125 or a cbr 125

How many miles were you doing? Would love a yzf r125 can't afford one though

I had a DNA2K as a college commuter. Nothing exciting, but reliable and good on fuel.

For a 125 I'd recommend going for a super moto like a senda, you'll have more fun taking a slow bike off road than putting a slow bike on the road... But that's just me.

Was gonna say if it's a run around type 125 you're after a supermoto style will be more fun. And you could run a cr125 as it. Absolute nutter machines.

Yea, I was half thinking of a super moto style bike, looked at a couple of dt125s now got to have a think and see if its a viable solution to my problems
