« on: 07 July 2011, 17:02 »
Hello people, can anyone help on here, I need an ECU refurbed or exchanged, ford want £1200 for one an I think that's a rip for a car that's worth that anyway!

So any recommendations?

Try Small Ford Centre in Gillingham, I know it's a mission but if they've got one I can post it etc

Any more info on the ecu fault, and ecu type?

Its from a 2002 ford focus, its a siemens unit and the faults are all electrical, No indicators, Hazards, Fogs, heated windscreen, rear screen, wipers.

Its my gf's grandads car and an auto electrician has said he's 99% the ECU is the fault.

Strange one? Take an ecu out of most cars and all the electrical, indicators, Hazards, Fogs, heated windscreen, rear screen, wipers will still work.
I dont THINK the 2002 Focus ecu would have been can bus, so would only control the engine. I maybe wrong?

Send me all the car information and I will have a look at my Ford tech ecu guides and see if there is a switched AUX +12v out feed, if there is then you can bypass it with a switch our ignition AUX feed to see if you can get every thing working
