what sort of power am i looking out of a ko3s me and my mate are looking to get it done i need it cause the big wheels i will be lookinbg at getting are going to slow me down lol

AUMs come stock with the ko3s, I think he is thinking about the benefits of mapping to stage2 with the ko3s?

They will flow just over 240bhp, limiting factors are, charge cooling, down pipe, flow and actuator condition.

 I had a customer come in the other week who was over the moon that he had just fitted a ko3s to his AUM and was looking forward to 210bhp from a spec1 custom map,  he won the turbo on eBay for £260 and thought he got a good deal.   But then I told him he had took off a good ko3s and replaced it with another identical ko3s.  Not too bad you?  Then he tells me he sold the old ko3s which he thought was just a ko3 on eBay for £45.

The only thing is some early AUM's actually come with a Ko3.

I am not in doubt at all 

All AUMs are K03s even the very first 887-128 revisions late 2000 (which mine is, one of the first of the production line), the only post 2000 DBW car running the K03 was the ARZ and later reg AGUs
Some of the early k03s units looked identical to the K03 by having the same comp external housing casting, then later on changed to silenced version which most people claim to only be the k03s. The people on um-mkivs where only going by the visual look not the comp hosuing cassting number or the KKK part numbers.

Even the k0-001 has the same casting as the k03. 
Some old AUMs will only make around 190bhp due to the actuator spring getting a weak over the years, and the blocks 114 requested and actual load dont meet and the n75% is at 95% all the way over 3800rpm, in this case around 4-5 turns of preload on the actuator will bring the power up, or if the nuts are seized you can bend the actuator mount back by 5-6mm. If the spring is too weak the a new actuator is needed.
