Alloy Wheel Centre Caps - hmmm...
« on: 09 April 2005, 20:15 »
My Golf has got Audi 17inch alloys, but they still have the Audi centre caps. Just wondering what you guys think, should I try to find a set of VW centre's (god knows where id looking start but I could try) or should I just stick with the Audi's?
Not a huge dilema, but one thats made me think. And god it hurts.

Although the Audi alloys look the nuts, they would look even better with the correct centre caps.

Try your local VW garage- the size of it should be standard thinking about it. A VW centre cap may be the same size and fitment- they have a range of alloys on the walls.. worth a try

Thanks for that. I just went through the post now, and he got them on the car. However someone had already asked if he could find out how much his mate can get them for, and I have posted asking if he could let me know, so fingers crossed!!
Boggle posted saying that you can get them from autoalloyz for £70 which sounds a bit steep.

To be honest, for that sort of money I think id live with the Audi caps.
The only thing is, the caps I have now have a sort of stud effect all around them, which the VW ones (well the ones flyingcustard has) are more plain. I like the look of the Audi ones so would realy want them the same, just with VW on them. Dont want much do i!!
I shall continue my search.

I know I know. If I can get the exact same caps but with VW then I may change them, assuming they arent an extorsionate price of course. If not, the Audi's will stay. It's all the same at the end of the day I suppose!!
