Bottom of door card lights

Hey guys
 We either the drivers or passenger side door is open these lights don't come on.  All other lights work & so do the windows.

Am I looking at a fues issue, or do only certain models have these as standard

My Golf is GT TDI 170 56plate

They come with the luxury pack. I have the puddle lights under my wing mirrors and the red ones in the bottom of the doors. If you don't have the pack, then they will just be reflectors which you can swap out for the lights.

For the MKV VW got rid of the lights in the door cards that were on the MKiv.   

They replaced them with the puddle lights under the wing mirrors as Komenda stated.
