I only bought it as a temporary stop gap until i decide what I want to get.. it was very cheap on an 07 plate. Dare I say it doesnt half shift as drives very well and feels solid.

Already noticed that the body panels are cheap quality and very flexible but im guessing this is down to weight saving

Although on the other hand Xenons as std and a good std Bose stereo and plenty of room in the back also! May sell it on.. or just sit on it as a run about when the GTI goes

In that case I wasnt quite right as I thought you were getting the lastest 265 Cupra R.  Although if you like the 07 plater you still may get one. Fully loaded less than a year old and cost £20k instead of £28k!

Thats an odd choice considering your drive for perfection, not at all my cup of tea. But as i won't be driving your car who cares what i think.

I've no doubt it will put a huge smile on your face mate

Oh deary, deary me. Presumably, it came with a good supply of brown paper bags for hejab use.
I dare not ask about the colour either 'cause it could be that Lime Green hue so beloved by the Seat 'taste police'.
Roll on September/October. Lots of new models will arrive for your pleasurable purposes and pursuits.
A very reserved congratulations for now. :lipsrsealed:

It may well have been lime green had it been a Seat he bought but if it was MAW73's guess as he already said it was it won't be lime green as there are only a choice of 4 colours  And we think VW are bad!?!

I had a look at that and its packed with extras. Certainly different as I've only ever seen one on the road compared to the countless GTI's that whizz past me

Ah, I now see! Thanks p3asa. This is what happens when one tries to follow Gilly on a Blackberry small screen, in the early hours of the morning and with Jim's numerous dropped signatures causing confusion!

Gilly, I like your choice. The Mazda 3MPS will be most reliable. Colour? Let me guess: Red?

Enjoy the ride. Piccy will be nice.

Silver in colour... some nice 18" wheels. Needs a few slight cosmetic repairs due to car park dinks, but other than that handles 260bhp very well (as it should as std).

Very low key, one single exhaust, not shouty logos or anything just one mps badge on the back. It may have just turned up at the right time as the GTI has had to go back to the dealers AGAIN!!

Very very cheap for an 07 plate...

Nice. I saw one in Silver 3 months ago and the colour suited the car.

Regarding your GIT, sorry GTI,  you must be sick to death of it and apoplectic by now. It is a bad 'un and best be out of sight and out of mind.

I admire you thinking out of the box.

I guessed correctly……..  ner ner ner ner na!   :smug: :smug:

My sisters got a 59 plate MPS and their very nice cars. I had a quick drive of it the other day but I couldn’t get to grips with the manual gear box having been so used to driving cars with DSG over the last few years. I really did notice how good the xenon’s are though compared to my piddly standard lights. The difference really is night and day. There a tinny and the dash is a wee bit plasticy for my liking compared to the golf there great cars for the money. I’ve owned a mazda 6 2.3 sport saloon a few years back and it was a very reliable. Anyway, good luck with it.
