Yea, I think it just goes on experience

I have had a MK2, MK4, MK5, and now the MK6 GTI and my wife has a 9 year old Lupo GTI and have never have had any problems with any of them so will probably get a MK7.

As far as my experience goes, Volkswagens are totaly reliable and I can never understand why people join the AA or RAC  :laugh:

The RS was the only real contender to the GTI for me, not in white though - Blue.

I was put off by the MP350 (Mountune version) it was MAD!

You re-mapped your car and then drove it at 10/10ths all the time. It's a shopping trolly not a rally car. You also used Tesco fuel which is not the best even though it is 99 RON. You've been unlucky, possibly. But we also make our own luck.  :wink: 

The GTI is still an amazing car, but not for you, not now, not tomorrow, not ever.  :sad:
