I'd personally go for manual, VW boxes aren't the most satisfying but are still brilliant to use. Although I'm sure quicker/easier progress is possible with the DSG.

I went for manual and in hindsight would have gone for DSG. You need to make sure it's been serviced and see whether the mechatronic unit has been replaced or not.

I too went for the manual,and still wouldnt change my choice for the world,as a lot have already said,try both before you buy to see which you prefer.
