Its between these 2 companys for me too.. i was gonna go to R Tech, the guys seem to really know what they are doing, but looking at some of the figures which seem very un realistic IMO (like 246hp from a ko3s car with very basic mods like with a silicone tip and sports cat etc) and then hearing stories of figures been upped on the print outs (i have no proof of this just what a few people have told me)
Im now swaying towards carbon who seem very helpfull and realistic
The car in question is also running fmic, forge actuator which with 12psi pre-load full turbo back, ect The reason some car don't make over 230bhp is down to a weak actuator, all the new 2006 polo gti we are stage 2 mapping will easy make 240bhp due to the stronger stock actuator and machined comp housing, buy take a 2001 aum and try and get 240 out of that without changing the old actuator and you will find it around 225bhp. The ko3s will flow over 240bhp with ease, just have a read on the forums. I can easy get 210 from a stage1 ko3s which has been proven many time on independent. Dynod across the uk, Inc dyno dynamics. I would but my money on my own live custom remap, vs any tuners stage2 generic remap even revo. You need to understand the word custom map vs a generics map, how is a generic stage2 going to take into account a 12psi pre load actuator, how does a generic remap take in to account weak actuators? I dont need to lie or give in realistic power output as I have nothing to prove, you just need to go back via my posts and have a good f
read on our history. Some car will go stage2 and not make over 225bhp, some come in and tune easy to 240bhp due to the hardware being spot on. Plus our unique linear throttle map helps with the air flow by giving 100% upstream air flow unlike the oem mapping, and we are the only tuner who offers this. I will give u a challenge, you have your car mapped anywhere in the uk, and then come to me and I will give you a custom map which is night and day, if it's not night and day then I will pay the cost of your first map.
I am sure many people to pipe up soon,
And just on another note, if the torque is too strong and too early on a ko3s you will never make good peak power flow.
