I love those alloys and for some reason the mudflaps seem to suit the overall look of that car.
I wouldn't want to fit those alloys on my car though incase someone thinks I own a GTD

And I wouldn't fit those mud flaps in case someone thinks I own a Land Rover.

Makes the white car look like a Panda, the endangered species. Thank God!

Just noticed the title - GTD mudflaps.

In that case mud flaps are most suitable.

A friend of mine had a mk1 GTD many years ago, he was/is a farmer, he loved it as he could use the farm's diesel which was really, really cheap. Not legal now, I know.

He also told me he liked the sound of the engine.

Reminded him of work.......

True

Fazz. If you haven't yet got the flaps for the GTD,the item No's are:-

Front 5K0 075 111
Rear  5K0 075 105  (my box stated Gti, so they must be the same!)

Fitted them recently....
All screws etc are included, but you will need a couple of Torx bits 20 and 25 IIRC. a pair of grips (adjustable pipe grips are just the thing!) to tighten the clamps on the front flaps (with something to put between the grips and the bodywork so as not to damage paint etc) small extension for the torx bits for the rear flaps, a 10mm spanner and some tape to hold the - nut in the spanner under the bodywork front n rear/20mm torx screws to the bit whilst getting them in the recess on the rear flaps. Also, either a rubber headed hammer or a hammer + piece of wood to get the clamps on the rear flaps (with the inside of your knee up against the rear valence whilst you smack those clamps in! Ooh Matron...)

Fronts - can be done whilst car on the ground with opposite lock applied (bit fiddly, but not too bad).

Rears - really need to remove each rear wheel in turn.

If you're going to jack the car up and remove a wheel, then Don't forget to use an axle stand or similar for safety's sake!!! There's nothing quite like a car falling on your head to put a damper on your afternoon!

I was looking down the eBay route to purchase mine and got confused (ain't that hard nowadays!) but messaged a VW dealer who was selling non gti/d flaps on the bay and I thought "OK, I'll leave it to him/her to send me what I need - gave him my GTD chassis No and he/her sent me what I've stated..... I'd like to see the difference between 101's and 105's tho...  :undecided:

Part No's???????

Gti *MODELS* is 105, which I assume includes the GTD.... wherever I've seen a GTD for sale at a VW dealer, it's always come under the banner of 'Gti'
