conversion from gti to tdi wiring issues

Swapped tdi engine and wiring from fusebox forward into a gti body had an issue with starting that turned ou to be broken earth on to next problem though with key in ignition and on the clocks and temp gauge works grand start engine digital display on clocks goes out and temp and rev gauge dont work the indicator lights are constantly on and dim and brighten if you fiddle with wiper stalk any ideas as to what the hell is goin on cause im stumped

Check yr fuses, especially the engine management one.
Could also be another earthing problem.

Gone from bad to worse connected up everything in the car and now when yo turn on key back window heater washer jets and everything is on constantly whether switch is on or off any ideas wats happenin
