Nearly sorted, good to hear.
Sounds like you have a stalker in the 'dodgy' West London area, pal

I know for sure someone targeted the roof but the rear windscreen was a lump of concrete that fell from the roof of the work car park.

He's done quite a good repair of that Asker. Glass repairs must be the hardest thing in the world to do neatly.
Much better than having the rear screen out and replaced with all the potential for disaster there.

I agree.
Unfortunately, two of the gouges need to be redone.

Yeah, I guess it's a bit like trying to get a 100% finish with a touch up pen on your paintwork. Very difficult to get right first go.

I spoke to him and he could not believe it could be so! Ah well, he might descend on me on Monday for the remedy.

On my request, the Glas-Weld operator came back on Saturday to my home to fix the slightly faulty repair. He redid all 5 gouges which did not take him very long. There's no improvement from the first repair though slightly better than when left unrepaired. Very operator dependant IMO. Is it worth £100? A resounding NO.

My rear screen is full of deep scratches
I think it is from all that bad weather we had and the Mrs clearing the ice n snow instead of putting heated rear screen on , hense why now she has a mini
I am going to get the rear screen replaced, what problems do you incur changing it ?

Well, replacing the rear screen will involve removing all the internal trim, the wiper, the spoiler etc. If the operator is not very good, then the trim can be damaged, scratched, rattle etc. I just could not bear the thought of it. If I pick-up more scratches on the screen, I'll get it replaced. PITA.

^^ i had mine on the mk5 done by the dealer under warranty, they took it to a body shop in york ? they said the spoiler needed repainting after removal and they didn't have a paint shop,
Don't know if this is true but it was a cracking job (pardon the pun )

The scratches are annoying me so need to get it sorted think there is about 20 deep ones
