What are peoples choice of head light bulbes in there car ? :undecided:

Before I put Xenons in, I ran Philips X-Treme Vision H7 Bulbs. 10-15% 'sharper' than the standard bulbs. I changed one and then did a compare. Light is a cooler colour temperature compared to the stock bulbs.

My audi Currently runs the top % Extra bulbs from (waits for the crys of laughter and shame) Halfords.  Works a treat, though haven't shopped through many brands as they don;t go bang that often, certainly not as near often as the normal ones.

Many other peoples light housings require a good bash to fix a dodgy connection, mine used to do it all the time, but not recently.

I too am changing my bulbs and wondered if it is worth changing the w5w sidelight bulbs also. Will this add alot to the light output?

It won't add to the light output but at least they will be a better colour than the yellow originals. The handy thing about white/bluey sidelights is that they can be used as DRL type lights instead of the awful looking standard DRLs and you get the added bonus of showing off your LED tail lights (if you have them).
The only downside is that they are an absolute nightmare to fit. I've had a set of 'uprated' W5Ws sat in the boot of the car for about 6 months now 'cause I can't get my hands in to change them! Even my wife's slender hands can't get in there.
