Ok so I'm going to share a lovely little tip with you all, boiled linseed oil. You can pick it up from most DIY shops or eBay, a little goes a LONG way, and these are the results I got (and an excuse to show off my lovely clean car).

I think most know about it already mate. Never used it as apparently it gets very streaky when wet and doesnt last very long. Looks great on the pics though.

used it on my mk2 bumpers and it lasted til i sold it 3 months on, may still be going strong. And i've never had it streak

Think Tim had a problem with this stuff. A reaction with a cloth and it caught fire inside his boot.
Probably worth binning the cloth and having a bin fire
