VW will have to throw in extras like they did with the run out mk5s. You could get some quite good deals on pre registered mk5s when they were on the run down, and VW chucked in their plastic leather for 'free' for good measure. With a European recession and general financial melt down getting worse they 'should' throw in a few incentives to move some metal, but the way they seem to prefer doing business at the moment is restricting production for the established markets (thus bolstering prices by way of smart marketing and taking advantage of public snobbery) whilst concentrating on the emerging far East markets.
I keep saying it, in fact so much I'm even boring myeslf to death, but you've just got to look at the value of the run out Leon FR+ models which come fully loaded with everything you would need and can be picked up through brokers for well under £20k brand new with less wait time than their extremely expensive German cousins. Plus the Leons come in nicer colours than the restricted and boring range we get for the Golf GTI/Ds.
I'm going to shut up now as I'm fed up saying the above and I'm positive everyone else is bored of me harping on about it!
