i've a std 2l t gti, could anyone comment on bhp, tourque and 0-60 time at all please?

Also who are good to use, i've seen r-tech mentioned a lot on here but never heard of them

also does it effect the mpg at all driving normally?

Cheers,

A good remap will see a healthy 235-240bhp providing you have no faults with the car

Driving normally should see your MPG improve but that will depend on your will power

My car ran 242bhp and 260lb/ft with a R-Tech map and Tesco 99 stuff. That then dropped down a year later to 238bhp and cant remember the torque, I put that down to me using regular 95 stuff.

The difference is night and day, becomes a different car and has much more noticeable power. I cant recommend getting a remap enough.

You have more power, therefore require less effort to move the car.  Again, assuming you don't drive like you stole it everywhere

In theory it will, but in the real world it probs wont. You'll save fuel when as Rhyso said you use less travel on the accelerator to get to where you want. When you press on (which you will do :D ) you'll use more so it even itself out. You get more power for the same MPG, so yours a winner.

If you drive everywhere sensibly then you'll get better MPG but then what are you doing in a GTI driving around everywhere sensibly?

Standard Golf GTI's are very good, mapped makes them come alive - do it.

Where are you based and I'll give you some recommendations
