HEATER/AIR CON PROBLEMS

im after some help tho i've got a S plate mk 4 with climat control trouble is the display has gone and nothing works i have no heaters in the car at all i tried a second hand unit and still no joy could any of you guys pls help a new boy cos its doing my head in and i dont really wann start paying main dealer prices just yet

check fuse or relay check the  wiring or  blower motor could be knacked
