locking wheel nut's!
« on: 23 June 2011, 19:14 »
i got a puncture last weekend, changed wheel in pissing down rain ... go to change it back now i got a new tyre on alloy..

i got a sneaky susspision i left it where i got the puncture! doubt its still there, and dont fancy a 50m trek back to get it!

i dont really wana bash them all off and buy a new set, are the wheel nuts i have the same as all other golf's?

did golfs come with these as standerd ?

can i go to VW and see if they have a key , then order one in?

i went to halfrauds and they was as much use a chocolate teapot!

can post a pic if some one has multiple spare's!

smash a socket onto them and take them off, then buy a new set. easiest way, but make sure youve searched everywhere for the socket first, checked your pockets?

last time i changed one in the rain the socket ended up in the washing machine with me wet clothes

if there genuine vw locking wheels nuts they can get you a replacment locking wheel nut at a charge
but looking at those in your pic they arn't genuine so you can either get a socket and hamer it over and undbreaker bar or with a hammer and chisel .or go to a local tyre place they might have proper removal tools good luck
