Idiots guide:
mk5 and mk6 Golf, 7.5 or 8 inch wide wheel you want an offset ideally between ET50 and ET45. Couple of mm either side and you're
probably going to be okay with standard suspension.
Most BBS wheels for Golf 5 & 6 fitment will be 8x18 (or 8x19) and ET44. They sit perfect.
CHs are expensive, look better on mk5 Golfs than mk6s due to the fact the mk6 looks best with a wheel where the spokes come right to the edge of the rim. In my not very humble (but correct!) opinion.
