Meg's ultimate compound
« on: 21 June 2011, 21:49 »
Im gunna use the meg's ultimate compound I bought a while ago but Im not sure when to add it in the sequence......

I thought wash and dry car,

Lime prime pre cleanser - By hand

Meg's ultimate compound - DA polisher

Sealant - By hand

Wax - By hand

Is this correct or should I use the compound before the lime prime?

Compound before the lime prime, but have you tried lime prime by machine as it gives a cracking finish.

Yeah ive used the DA to apply everything before it does give a great finish. I'll use the DA to apply all but the wax, i'll apply that by hand.

Megs 4'' pads are good also. (may need the 3.5'' backing plate)

Just to confirm, use the Ultimate Compound, followed by the Lime Prime and you should get a fantastic finish

Although, if you don't have any deep swirls/scratches, you really don't need the Ultimate Compound, LP by machine will give a great finish.
