KR 16V Static Timing - Flywheel Issue
« on: 21 June 2011, 21:04 »
Hello all,

Im after advice on my MK1 KR Conversion. Just fitted the KR engine but the timing marks on the flywheel do not line up with the inspection hole on gearbox. I have set the timing by making sure piston number 1 is at TDC. Does it make any difference that somebody has fitted the flywheel out of sync in the past??? Its about 1/3rd out apparently!

The engine is running fine!

Many Thanks

Not going to matter, as long as the timing is correct and it runs fine why worry

That's what I thought! Its not as if the weight is distributed in different areas on the flywheel is it??!!!

I will just mark my flywheel now with a fresh timing mark.
