Running ABF injection systems on a modified Engine!!!??? Help?

Alright guys-
I've reconditioned a KR head and am now looking at buying a block- be it 6A,9A or ABF....
I want to use mk3 16v injection system.... I know i'll have to  use a different inlet manifold.....but my concern at the moment is....
Does ABF use the sensors already in the KR head and 6/9A blocks?
Or am i going to have to buy another (ABF) head and use an ABF block?

Please let me know before i go and waste my cash!

Some later engines run of a crank shaft sensor and not the dizzy.This would one point to check.
