It had an awesomely crap "wheelbarrow" exhaust - twin upswept pipes about a foot apart. Standard system up til the middle box, then the whole back of the system was a reversed front pipe from a small-engined Subaru!


Keeping schtum. Mostly.

1998 polo 1.0L in white, 100mm drop on 15" momo arrows, with a massive cotton green filter slammed on top of the carb and a peco big bore exhaust off a corsa sri  :grin: awesome little motor!!  :evil:

my family has always been into dubs and still is,so i got my sisters mk1 jetta for my 18th,i do miss that car alot.

Piece of sh!te but hey, first car and hadnt got the modding bug then.

Oh and the 'Duo' was cos it had 2 airbags!!  :laugh: And a go faster stripe!!! :grin:

I used to love those wheels

I think they where a bit marmite, but i really liked them and think they really suited my polo tbh!!  :grin: they where mk3 golf fitment originally to, didnt quite fit, always rubbed, this was before i was educated in to the world of wheel offsets!!  :embarassed:

I loved my 1st car

it was..   A reg Mk2 Golf GTI 3dr in Black

This is the car that got me into VW's    My dad got it for me, also the insurance was nice n cheap £540.00  :smiley:

1969 Morris Mini Super Deluxe 1000 (brought for my 16th bithday and restored by dad mom my brother and  myself over 12 months) still own him now yes a 1000 yes its quite slow but it looks and sounds like a cooper and around town its a real hoot to drive.

1999 Rover Mini Downton Sport Touring 1 of 5 1.3 90 BHP Stage 3 Head 5 speed 'box, sports suspension, leather interior, owned from new (still owned) spent a shed load on it since the first and probally only new car I will ever buy and the second most expensive Mini the garage had ever sold  :shocked:

2004 54 1.9 Golf TDI SE Died on the M5 after a disagreement with a lorry
