Yeah it is £300 at richer sounds, but scan at xmas were doing it £200 and it got it price matched instore plus £10 of discount when you sign up on there website.

Richer sounds are good at price matching if you find something on the net.

I have got an old creative inspire 5700 amp/sub speakers which I used from gaming and it was pretty dear and grweat piece of kit in the day - problem is that the optical port on the board fried (design flaw).

I noticed a guy selling one on ebay (working) and you could probs get it from £30 lol. seriously thought its a great wee sound system which alot of punch.

I'd never buy bose after i saw how sh!t the internals were on my mates bose system he paid over a grand for
And to be quite honest in a small(ish) cinema/game room the sony system i have is more than powerful enough, i've never had it past half volume and the floor vibrates

I never said anything about Bose System i said Bose Speakers!!!  Bose is 1 of the best speakers on the market FACT! Many brands are good at 1 thing and not the other! and your sony im sure is fine for what you need it for! Amp and speakers ftw if no money is an issue but the price of the sony you could do a lot better that onkyo is 30 quid more and would be immense quality! Volume doesnt mean good

Yeah the system he has is a fancy amp(Denon) and bose speakers  :embarassed: and i can safely say i would rather have the sony and £700+ in my pocket thanks
Plus the onkyo doesn't play blu rays and you can't stream/download tv and films via the internet
I know seperates are better quality(not that 99.9% of people would tell the diff) it's just as an all in one package the Sony is pretty good in my opinion.
I am stll allowed an opinion are'nt I  ?

And your right that onkyo can but the model just up can stream content etc Just not a huge Fan of Sony as a lot of parts are bought via samsung...

i have a samsung set-up in my room. amp has 2 optical (TOS link) inputs, but i have bought a switch, which lets you plug in up to 3 devices into 1 TOS port, and just twist the switch to decide which you want. effing amazing.
