floppy aero wiper blades
« on: 17 June 2011, 16:23 »
I'm after some aero wiper blades as mine don't do anything above 60/70mph in the wet, a mate has some on his that work very well, he can't remember the make or where he got them though. I've looked on the bay, and seen a few sets, what do you guys use (if any) as some look a bit different from others.. Anyone know the better looking better working ones? Don't want them to look too out of place and too new for a mk2 like some do...

Please don't fit aero wipers on an old car.

There's nothing wrong with original Bosch blades with the spoiler on the drivers side.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

Aero ones dont suit the age of the car, but if you insist then Lucas ones last well, I have some on the mk3 and still function well after 18 months. The passenger side one does squeak a bit though  :undecided:

I don't think a semi will give the same results

Noise isn't a problem, I've got the obligatory open airbox on the 16v and a slightly blowing exhaust so won't hear them I'm sure! Like I say a mate has them on his, and they don't look too sad, but I've seen some awful ones that are the first thing you notice, which isn't the look I'm after. I'd use subtle ones. Don't want my wipers being the first thing you see, like those gay single, middle parked, max power jobbies
