Limited 30 seat converter kit
« on: 17 June 2011, 00:41 »
guys i bought a golf today & part of the advert said

(Edition 30 Front and rear half leather seats in amazing condition.Edition 30 leather door cards.Edition 30 leather centre arm rest.)

witch was fine, until i got the car home & went to pick 2 friends up for football then realized one of them could not get in the back because the seats did not have a flip on them as the seats were from a 5 door golf, spoke to the dude about it & he said there convert kits you can buy, hoping this is true or the seats will have to be sold.. also the seats lumber support is right anoying the wiring loom is not there so move them to a good position..

any suggestions??

ps here the link to the car > http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2873017.htm

Might be making a fool of myself here but here goes.

That car is a 3 door not a 5 door as you said ?

You can clearly see the handle next to the head rest to pull the seats down and move them forward.

Am I missing something here  . . . . :undecided:

+1 unless it's a seat belt feed?

like above, not trying to make a fool of myself, but i thought any 3 door seat which folded forward, had to have the lever release for adjustment, not a turny wheel?

I doubt very much that you will be able to modify 5 door seats to fold as per the 3 door?? You would be better off buying std gti seats from a 3 door car and swapping the covers over IMHO.

yeah doubt you can convert as you dont even have a pull release handle. what about swapping for like a recaro sub frame? i'm not sure if you may be able to get a sub frame with a built in handle that can slide the chair forward easily.

who knows
