My dog thing does that every now and again just because he's a whimp.

aww poor dog hope hes better soon,
my bullmastiff is limping at the min  cant see any cuts or sores on her paw, her nails look ok, ive squeezed all was up her leg from the foot and it dosent seam to be sore anywhere so im confused

just hope she aint hurt her hip cos ive been told bullmastiffs are prone to hip displasia (spelling lol) shes 8 now and getting on. gonna give her a couple days incash shes just pulled a muscle while playing with my much more energetic jack russel

correct, they do, however at that age it could be more arthritis due to the build of the dog, or a combination of arthritis and bad hips....
see how you go, but the tell tale sign is stiffness in the morning or after long periods of rest ;)
stormogyl is an antibiotic and the powder sounds like another cheap copy of lectade... rehydration fluid so good stuff ;)

he wasnt at a kennels, he was staying at my girlfriends brothers house, they have a dog too and hes stayed there before with no problems.

he seems fine now, starting to eat his food, gettin his energy back, and back to being the lovable nuisance he usually is.

thanks all

glad your dog got better mate

unfortunatly the outcome wasnt so good for my tia

took her to vets other week they messed with her leg and said they couldnt find any obvious injury so gave her anti-inflamatory injection and a course of tablets, 2 week later she was refusing to use the leg at all just holding it up when walking.
took her back to vet on thurs they said she needed an xray and to bring her back friday for her to be sedated for the x rays, i thought at the very very worst she might have broken it somehow,
they phoned me at 1pm telling me the bad news it was bone cancer and advised me the best thing would be to put her to sleep while she was already sedated, they said amputation would not be advisable in such a big dog and the cancer would almost certainly have spread,
i agreed but asked to keep her sedated till i got there almost 20 miles,
when i arrived she i was led to the back where she was led freezing cold on a cold floor heavily sedated, i held her head in my hands while she took her last breath  it was absolutly heartbreaking. i cant believe she has gone we have had her 8 years and as you can imagine the size of her she had a big presence in the house, we have had her cremated and awaiting ashes back costing £180 but well worth it.
we will never forgot our big beautiful baby, a pic or 2 added
sorry to bring misery
