any vets or dog experts?
« on: 16 June 2011, 23:55 »
my dogs goin to the vets tomorrow but im still after a bit of advice

ive been on holiday for a week and just got him back today and he isnt right, was sick just before we picked him up, all his morning meal, got him home, and he was sick again, just yellow bile this time. hes been sick before so thought nothing of it, went for a walk and he was fine and full of energy, seemed fine when we got home but now later in the night hes very needy, normally goes to bed and just sleeps, but now hes sitting in front of me and just looks at the floor, also his body seems cold to me, normally his ears are hot but they feel cold now.

i let him in the yard for his wee and he just lay on his side, hes never done that before

hes a 5 year old lab/springer cross, never been to vets since he was a pup

You're doing the right thing taking him to the vets, hope it works out. I went last week, unfortunatley wasn't good news.

Let us know how you get on mate.

Hes been up all night, shivering, threw up bile this morning then diarrhea on way to vets. Been told its just a stomach bug, 2 injections, powder to go in his water and 5 days of pills. Now hes lyin at my feet fast asleep, which is where i should be seein as i was up till half 5 in the mornin with him!

It was all forced sickness, he kept lickin his lips like he was gonna, then hed force his stomach up and down to bring it up. Vets worried he could have swallowed summit so if he throws up again tonight then hes goin back tomorrow for an xray.

Poor doggy, I hope he feels better soon. Maybe he's just picked up a tummy bug at the kennels.

Ours has hurt her leg at the mo and is going nuts due to lack of walks

both pills have stomorgyl on the labels, and the powder just says professional on the sachet.

injections must have done the trick cos hes still flat out, i shouted walkies which normally has him sprintin to the passage for his lead, but he just looked up, sighed, then went back to sleep
