Is there a cure? i take it the tappets have been modified?

I would, just to be on the safe side.  Although on mine it was the turbo that went first  :grin: :grin:

It really is a lottery with regards to this issue but I know of more 150 engines suffering.  Another mate of mine had his fail a couple of months ago  :cry:

What are the symptoms? erratic idle? loss of power?
I take it, its an expensive fix!

Friend of nine at work has a bora PD150 , his cam went and it cost him about £1800thats with a turbo because that failed too :huh:. only 80-90k on the clock thou, full FSH. he was well pissed

As per Steve's thread

Symptoms where clicking sound after 2k rpm, white smoke on start up, excessive black smoke when driving and power surging. You could also hear the turbo stuttering

Mine cost £850, £600 in parts rest in labour
If you use a genuine camshaft it will cost over £800 in parts :lipsrsealed: some people say you should change the injector rocker arms which pushes the bill to over £1200
I often wonder why people never expect sarcastic comments from me - they're the only reason I speak...
