On the topic of movies, can anyone recommend some good martial arts movies? I've seen some of the classics like Drunken Master and some modern ones like Hero, Ong Bak and House of Flying Daggers. A movie with some kind of plot would help
If anyone hasn't seen Hero it's well worth checking out. Seriously well crafted shots throughout and the plot is damn good for a martial arts movie. The fights are stunning. Some might not be as intense as other movies but WOW are the beautifully shot

Operation condor is a good old Jackie Chan one.

More modern ones... Warrior King/The Protector is a good one.

Fearless is also quite good.

But as already stated, unleashed and Kung Fu hustle FTW.

I've seen most of the ones mentioned except Unleashed and Kung Fu Hustle so I'll try and get a copy of those. Thanks folks

Unleashed is pretty good, Jet Li basically plays a mussled dog. Ha
If like your kung-fu movies to be serious, epic and meaningfully then kung fu hustle  is the one...
