I've just had some new Bridgestone's fitted to my front wheels and within 40 miles the Tyre Pressure Warning Light activated and is still on.  I checked the pressures of all the wheels and they were fine at 2.4 bar.  Reading the manual it says I should have a reset button on the centre console ahead of the gear lever - but I don't have that button.  Does that mean I'm going to have to get into the dealer for a reset or is there anything else I can do to cancel the warning light?

Thanks very much for the reply Snoopy.

Just been out to the garage - located the switch and followed instructions to reset the warning light.  I'd have never found it in the Glovebox, so that's saved me ringing the dealer on Monday morning.  I thought there must be somewhere to reset it, as it seemed a pain if you had to go to the dealer to do it.  That's the 3rd set of tyres I've had on the fronts, but the first time the warning light has come on.

Looking forward to week 31 to get the build of my new GTD with 18" Charleston's!

Glad your sorted.
A word of warning. It will take an hours driving at varied speeds upto 50mph and different types of corners for the system to re-learn the rolling circumference of your tyres under different situations after a reset. So don't depend on it showing you have a puncture for at least this time.

3 sets of front tyres??

How many miles have you done?

My bridgestones are about 50% after 12k, 3k less than the car - they get rested in the winter.

The FTI is well worth it, I found a nail on the inside of my tyre on my mk5 after the warning went off.

Reset after changing tyes and as Snoops says it will take a little while to learn.

32,000 miles - I do like a sporty drive tho and using ACC to stick to the road.

Thanks for the warning that it'll take a while for it to reset itself.

VW should have fitted a sticker on your b pillar shown you where the reset button is.

It's above the airbag off key switch btw
