blooooooody thing dont fit
« on: 10 June 2011, 12:01 »
just tried to fit my strait through middle section exhaust and it dont fit. the end sleaves are the same size as the bits they are ment to go over
so i chopped abit off the ends and used over sleaves to make it fit and had it all nicely fitted to car.
but its WAY to loud. cant even hear yourself think inside the car. i mean in my street you can hear every piston popping away and makes it very disoriantating and had ringing in my ears when i got out the car.

took it off now and but original middle box back on.
what a wast of money

What backbox have you got on there?

I know mine is a 1.6 but I have a pipe from the manifold to the backbox. OK so it rattles like feck and bangs because it literally rests on the middle support beam because I'm lazy but it's not loud til 3K, silent at thirty and quiet at 70.

Take a pic of it I might have it off you if you don't want it.

Where all my moneys went.

this is my back box. double can witch is like a twin bass box so it just made the strait through middle pipe extra deep and bone shakingly loud.

My exhaust is very loud on my 16v, when the guy from powerflow was checking it out he said to me "you do realise this will be very loud" I replied "yip" with a big grin on my face, dunno if it's whitened down a bit now though, think I jus don't really notice it anymore.

there is no way anybody could have ignored mine the bass inside the car from it was unbarable to the point of making me feel sick.
there is no diferance in sound from having strait through exhaust with no back box to having the backbox fitted to it.
infact the twin cans made it deeper and more gut renching.
