G3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thats the wrong stuff your usuing mate, bodyshops use it and it leaves holograms, pig tails and buffer marks.

to get the results you want use a rotary(im assuming you are already)

use menz 3.02(power finish) or FG/S500 on a lake country yellow cutting pad, once yopu have corrected the car(get it under halogen lights) refine the finish with menz 85RD(final finish) with a lake country 2 tone black finnese pad.

once refined you can then use poorboys black hole to give you the glaze you want and then a decent wax to protect what you have done.

G3 is a big no no mate in detailing so check out CYC.

if you want some advice to get the panels looking tip top drop me a PM and i can advise you mate.

its all about getting the preparation right before you can get the finish you want. no point polishing over sh!te if you know what i mean so you have to make sure the panel is the cleanest it can be

I'd agree about G3 being a bit much.  You will end up with a fair amount of induced marring which you only have to spend more time removing.  If the paint doesn't need correcting, then as above use something less agricultural and you'll end up with a better finish.

The wetness comes from the stages after the machine work though.  Glazes, sealants and waxes can all add to the effect.

Thats the big question!  Polishes I rate the Menzerna range as they finish down really well.  3M are also very good.

As for the glaze/sealant/wax depends on budget and which products you want to use as there may be compatibilty problems ie some products don't like others.

Im sure Waxamomo can sort you out a nice deal on these bits

I use meguaris dimond glaze #85 with megs buffing pads on a DA buffer.

Then use menzerna for any left over polishing marks as it breaks down very well.

Not a fan of poorboys black hole. Ive started to use poorboys white diamond on even dark cars. Slightly easier to work with and gives any metallic flake that 'pop'.

Wax...No expert on a wax but been using colinite wax and seems to be the most hard waring wax.
