smoothing front bumber

i've got my old black bumper so just need to find a spare front and im gunna give it a go me thinks!!

The best way to do it imo and the way i plan on doing is to get a spare rear bumper and chop a long section out of it and plastic weld it into a cut out in the front bumper. Less filler and same plastic used means a stronger and more durable finish. Plus you can still keep the swarge lines if you so desire.

Exactly what i'm doing at the moment  i got given a front and back bumper for free!

Ive got a smooth top Vr6 highline front bumper you can have for £20, needs a respray tho ( but your probley gunna do that anyways). Pm me if you want it.

Got your PM mate.

I just got a rear bumper, chopped out a big section, chopped out the same section on the new bumper then plastic welded it in.

I used a fine tip torch and just melted strips of the plastic in.

DON'T use fibreglass! It just cracks, plastic weld it properly, then decent U-Pol filler try and weld it well enough to use little filler.


I then crashed it.
