smoothing front bumber

i was thinking about spraying my front bumper today as i cant find a fully colour coded one any were, and thort if im sprayin it i may aswell smooth it too,

just wanted to know which is the best way of goin about smoothin the numberplate insert in the frontbumper???

i wanna smooth the middle of the front bumper were the number plate goes so the bumber looks like this

I'd say plastic weld a plate in the recess, a skim of filler and sand it down will be your best bet

Don't know how mine is done but I would use fiberglass

The best way to do it imo and the way i plan on doing is to get a spare rear bumper and chop a long section out of it and plastic weld it into a cut out in the front bumper. Less filler and same plastic used means a stronger and more durable finish. Plus you can still keep the swarge lines if you so desire.

this sounds pritty good, i do want the swage line, i think im gunna have to get a spare front bumper too tho because i dont wanna cut myn up n f*ck it up lol
