Agreed^^^^ I can't see many dealers taking the risk with the conversion. They do colour by numbers and if it ain't a VW approved retro fit they'll probably run a mile unless you have a friend or relative who works in the service department at a main dealer.
There is enough pooled info on here and helpful local VCDS owners to retro fit the lights. Think yourself lucky buzz, you've got the easy end to retro fit. Those of us wanting to retro fit xenons have a completely different kettle of slippery fish to deal with!
