That will only indicate if friction plate is worn, not necessarily warped, unless that is another symptom when worn (juddery)? It could have a warped fly, and the clutch still be ok, not splitting hairs just saying its a possibility.. If its something that has progressed it most likely is the clutch rather than fly, but my clutch is brand new, so more likely the flywheel in my case...

No that's a fair point, I only butted in because I saw fecked clutch talk and pulling off up hills etc.

Well I hope for his sake it's neither of the above..... It's hard to tell what the juddering is when reading about it, might not even be the clutch...

Yeah exactly we could be way off the mark.. Some problems just can't be diagnosed without seeing/ hearing them yourself, and sometimes people describe the symptoms all wrong, which leads to a poor diagnosis. Not saying matey has on this one, but I have read a few and thought 'how the hell do they expect an accurate answer to that?!' Fingers crossed its a bolt loose or a worn mount!

The things we're talking about wouldn't get flagged on MOT advisories.

Well if it is clutch related and it wasn't juddering then, it wouldn't be picked up by Mr MOT man.  You can have quite a few things wrong with a car that isn't an issue for an MOT.  If your car is safe to be on a public road it doesn't mean that it won't run like a bag of sh*t (not saying yours does btw) ... Take my car for example!.. Since 2 hours after the MOT I was having issues, My exhaust failed big time yet it was fine during the MOT.  Car was spluttering to and from the test station and quite "juddery" at low speeds due to poor engine timing.  Still got me a ticket with no advisories.. something to think about.  We can all have a look at the weekend now can't we, i'm sure between us we'll figure out what's up with it.

well ill look at the engine mount first then if its not that well looks like more money is being spent, I need to get a new exhaust as well!
