Golf annie too low? Help please!!!
« on: 03 June 2011, 19:52 »
Sorry if this is in the wrong section, im new to this site.

Ive got a mk3 golf gti annie, ive just fitted coilovers & new rear axle bushes. The reason for this was the previous owner had cut the springs which is obviously an mot fail. The car had previously been sitting far too low ( tyre right inside the arch) an i thought if i put new bushes & coilovers on this would sort the problem but its still sitting far too low, the coilovers are set as high as they can be. Anyone any ideas?

Thanks

This sounds very odd, how close to the ground is sitting then?

Well the fuel tank is literally 2.5-3 inches off the ground. I've had a really really low mk2 before but this just takin the piss. Tbh if I could run it this low I would but it's just totally impractical, especially considering the state of the roads these days. It's clearing the arch but only by literally a couple a mill. I just don't understand what could cause this....?

Are you sure you've wound the adjuster rings the right way?
