Quite possibly the most hideous looking car EVER.

There is hope for the MK3 yet!

All good cars, I'd be more tempted by the Volvo as a car to keep. If you want want fun and want to be noticed get the Celica, my friend had a modified Black GT2 I nick named the cat fish  Sick car  he Sold it and bought a Golf 3 VR6 Highline :undecided:
Passat B5.5 2.3 V5 170, with all the extras.

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.

M52 with a M50 inlet manifold wont make 220. ( also thats a flywheel figure now wheels )

having said that i had a 1992/93 325 coupe with mtec kit, alpina reps. looked the nuts, sounded awesome and went well. not bad for £300...

sorry mate, i know someone with 328i with 325 inlet manifold and it did make 220, the 328 manifold is very restrictive

fits your budget, ugly as sin but rapid in a straight line (not sure if this one is auto)
please remember i am 20 - not 50

I have a job interview on wednesday, so i will wait and see the outcome so have a larger budget to play with, seriously considering the GT4 now, only if i get the pay rise from the job, otherwise i think it will be the BMW i will go for... however, for people that think the C70 is a barge, please do a youtube search on a review that was done on the old Top Gear... here is the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LRiomRdg-2E

I think i need to test drive all of them to get a better idea, just want any of them whilst we have some decent weather and fun before Winter comes around again

only thing that put me off the toyota - it reminds me alot of Need for Speed lol.. jap overdone cars with huge body kits haha.

The Volvo doesnt look that bad though, hell of a lot of car for the money!!

have you thought about pug 106 gti? saxo vts? or similar nippy, good handing hatches?

106 gti i would consider, not interested in saxo due to the chav reputation.

ideally id like to steer away from french cars in general though
