Hi all, right test drove one of these today and loved it!!!!! Now have to settle finance tomorrow with my mk4 trade in and bingo! a new mk5 owner. Right the reason for this thread is that before i commit to it i wana know the good and bad points? I thought it wud be best asking here as you guys drive them.

Do they have Cruise Control?
Rain sensor wipers?
Heated mirrors?

Whilst driving it i put it in 3rd gear and damn u hear that badboy turbo powering up! absolutely gorgeous.

Some of those are options so you're best off asking the garage to clarify what was fitted

You should have paid more attention on your test drive

if i remember correctly.  How long you been a member? 

not sure if there's any common problems    MPG will be lower than the FWD 140bhp and you've got yo make sure the Haldex oil and filter have been changed at the correct intervals

Cruise control is an optional extra - easily done as a dealer retro fit for around £200.
Rain sensing wipers is standard fit.
Heated mirrors are standard fit.

Driven a couple of these and they are brilliant with a remap

Just ensure that the service history is complete and check that the turbo is in good condition ("owl" sound can be an early warning that the turbo could be on it's way out)

These are all manual and with the 4WD the clutch can take a lot of stick, so check that there is no clutch slip under hard acceleration from low rpm in 4th,5th or 6th

Well wen it was pulling it did sound like a wooooooof noise, im not used to a turbo car so it just sounded crazy amazing to me. They are powerful things. Rhyso it is under as TDI SPORT 4 MOTION. Dont know if its GT or just TDI SPORT 4MO.

And cost is £7500 with trade in at £2500.

Oi Markus enough of that lol, had broadband here for years haha, actually us and birmingham and the first for this cybercity thing haha better than broadband so have that! haha.

Hope im not dissapointed anyway. Loved it. It has in car sat nav too which is a bonus.
