OIL IN COIL HELP PLZ

hi ive got a 1990 golf gti 1.8 8v and i just started the car today as dident start the car for 3 days and that cars got a realy bad miss fire the ideling still the same its just when you rev it like just missfires all the way up the revs and i was wondering what it couled be and is there meant to be oil on the ht lead that coes into the coil on mine i have oil in the lead and the coil i cleaned it then put it back and then it was on there again so couled that be the proplem the coil thanks

sounds like oil is leaking up thru your distributor,  :undecided:  dunno about this tho i presume you mean distributor cos the coil is up near the water bottle

no i realy mean there is like oil from the coil i dont mean pooring out but oils there  the little bottle looking thig next to the water bottle where the lead runs from the distribitour cap to the coil when i took the lead of there was oil

thats cos your coil is oil filled matey  :smiley:
just get a new coil. there not that exspensive and it is one component ruled out to solve your misfire problem.
