« on: 31 May 2011, 11:37 »
Hi there, just wanted to know what people thought of these or if they'd had any experience with them. they're cheap so i know they're not going to be outstanding but can't really afford anything expensive
Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks

You get what you pay for with suspension.

Any cheap suspension seems to be hit & miss, some are good, some are awful - you just don't know until it arrives. They'll probably creak a lot initially until you grease them up properly, the ride will be very bouncy, harsh and uncomfortable, you may find it difficult to get them sitting level. However.....

For the money they are ok, you get the benefit of being able to set your height as high/low as you want and it improves the handling tenfold. Ultimately it depends on whether you want to slam the car or just a subtle drop because you may be better off with a spring/shock setup.

Is the ride that bad.?

Thinking of getting the same set as my shocks are past their best, and its about the same price as a whole set of shocks.

Better to pay extra and get quality, if you not planning on going mega low just buy a good quality spring and shock kit.

You need one of those answer machine set ups like Roy had on the "IT crowd" Wayne.

Eibach springs and boge shock absorbers

Yes it is that bad, i'm running hotuning coilovers and if I wasn't planning on changing cars in the next few months they'd be getting changed for a spring/shock setup, such as......

Eibach springs and boge shock absorbers

^^^ Those

If you want to go low on a budget they are fine. Ride isn't that bad but I like stiff rides so it didn't matter to me. If you are looking for a 60mmish drop then shocks and springs are the better option as otherse have said. It's only worth getting cheap coils for a 100+mm drop on a budget.
Not low enough mk5
Not on the road enough mk3

I have these on my 8v.
I bought these because I never drive it fast or hard round corners. I Just wanted to drop it down. Also bought cheep tyres for the same reason.

I think they are fine, no compliants.

However I got FK on my vr6 and they are less harsh and bouncy but not that much. They cost twice as much too
