getting my car scanned

I have a couple of issues that seem to come and go on my 1.8t and have read about scanning the car to find fault codes. How much does this generally cost from a vw garage or I presume other places can also scan the car? Unless someone in Norwich who has one would like to scan it for me to tell me how many things are wrong with the car!  :wink: :wink: :wink:

Have a look through here http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=87936.0. I'd imagine not all people with VAG COM have replied to that thread tho so may be worth posting in that section of the forum asking if anyone near you can help you out for a few beer tokens.
