My O/S electric windows (front and rear) have never worked since buying my mk3 tdi a month ago so had a look today
The switches had always clicked but no movement, anyway took the door car off and started to remove the mechanism but couldn't as it kind of got stuck removing it - so kind of give up tried to put it back but couldn't!
Anyway, took it round to me mates who's also got a mk3 tdi and he removed the mechanism and glass (it helps when he's a mechanic!)
With that all out we tried the motor again and it worked
, so re-assembled and a bit of lube at the sides and all was good, apart from when the windows goes up it's like something is blocking it, it's a bit sensitive?
Quite happy with the results, still would like the o/s rear sorting but not as important as drivers - it was like the mechanism was stuck and just needed taking to bit and putting back together
